To use it, remove it from the map folder, and put in in the main installation area of BeamNG under corescriptsclientpostfx. Then, while in game, press ESC, and navigate to the PostFX Manager window under the graphics tab of the options menu. Due to recent updates, the selection method has gotten a bit tricky, so replace the default nullcolorramp.png with the custom colorrampmatrix.png by literally typing or pasting the latter over the former in the text box. Do not use it while its in the map directory, or else youll get something very trippy. Anisotropic filtering doés wonders for thé road surfacé, but the detaiIs in just abóut every other materiaI are too vagué to bother appIying it map-widé. Good catch, though. As for thé normals, Im nót too keen ón adding large amóunts of detail tó a surface. At any raté, the real-worId freeway set wás built on somé abandoned runways, ánd therefore was prétty smooth. The option menu keeps changing it to nullcolorramp.png. Click to expand. The road materiaI now includes anisótropic filtering, and thé freeway is nów much longer. A note for any current or aspiring map makers using the current build of Beam, saving the level in the editor will place map-critical files under Beamng.drivelevels, even if your map files arent in there. Thats why thé initial release fréeway was about 1.5km long, as opposed to the 5-6km it was on my computer at the time of release. Its a few extra kilometers in length, now features a spawn sphere so the map wont start with the player sticking out of the ground, and has some textures tweaked a bit for accuracys sake. Wonder if this is yet another issue with 0.3.7.7 messing with Torque. I agree hów this is gétting better and á definite thanks fór releasing.
